It is interesting to note that oxymetholone does exhibit some tendency to convert to dihydrotestosterone in the body, although this does not occur via the 5-alpha reductase enzyme. Oxymetholone is already a dihydrotestosterone-based steroid, so no such alteration can take place. Aside from the added c-17 alpha alkylation (discussed below), oxymetholone differs from DHT only by the addition of a 2-hydroxymethylene group. This grouping can be removed metabolically, reducing oxymetholone to the potent androgen 17alpha-methyl dihydrotestosterone (mestanolone). 387 There is little doubt that this biotransformation contributes at least on some level to the androgenic nature of this steroid. Note that since 5-alpha reductase is not involved, the relative androgenicity of oxymetholone is not affected by the concurrent use of finasteride or dutasteride.
This can be countered to an extent. You can increase the dosage towards the middle and later parts of taking it to increase the positive effects. You can also take a period of time away from the drug, cycling off for a bit to give your body time to recover before getting back to it again. Be aware that the more you take a day, the less results you will get added to through the additional dosage. So for example, taking 50mg a day adds a lot. Adding 50mg a day improves the results, but not by much. Adding 50mg more for 150mg a day adds slightly more, but it is typically not worth the negative side effects to your health for only marginal improvements. Studies conducted on the drug helps to back up this assertion, postulating that 100mgs/day is perfect for Anadrol cycling.
In 2005, Superdrol was rereleased as an over the counter designer steroid. It was sold in many supplement stores without restriction. This was pulled off thanks to a “grey area” in the 1990 Anabolic Steroid Control Act and 2004 revision. The law is, in part, drug-specific and Superdrol was not declared a Schedule III class anabolic steroid in that act because it was not commercially available at the time the act, and its subsequent revision, were signed into law. Superdrol was therefore being sold as an over-the-counter dietary supplement.
